Schneider Electric Power System Engineering (PSE) is seeking qualified Regional Engineers. The Regional Engineer works under the direction of a Principal Engineer and/or Area Manager and is responsible for leading and executing power system engineering work in their area.

In the Regional Engineer role, you will become proficient in the PSE offerings. This includes power system studies, electrical distribution design, digital relay protection and control, PLC programming and commissioning, equipment assessments and power quality assessments. You will have the opportunity to continuously expand your skills and increase your knowledge so that the solutions we offer are technically sound and meet national regulatory standards.

Regional Engineers are responsible for working with project management to ensure that the work executed in their area, either by the Regional Engineer or by others, satisfies specifications and customer needs and is completed within the project timeline and budget. Projects are typically a mixture of office-based design or system study activities coupled with onsite data collection, commissioning, and installation. Some projects may require travel and onsite work to be performed outside of regular working hours.

As a Regional Engineer you will develop relationships with key customers and work to become the trusted advisor for them in order to facilitate an effective partnership and drive incremental business.

Typical Responsibilities:

· Executes projects or leads project execution
· Develops and maintains own technical and commercial proficiency of PSE offers
· Proposal (quotation) development
· Maintains the relationship with key customers

ESTIMATED TRAVEL: 30% average travel

Desired profile



Qualifications :

This role may be for you if you have a minimum of:

·  BSEE
·  4+ years of experience
·  Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
·  The ability to quickly establish trust of clients in a consulting role
·  Proficiency in MS Office applications
·  Expertise in at least one of the following areas:
·  Electrical power system studies
·  Electrical power distribution design
·  Switchgear Automation and PLC application
·  Digital protective relay programming and commissioning

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Professional Engineering registration
·  Digital protective relay programming and commissioning
·  PLC programming and commissioning related to switchgear automation
·  SKM, E-tap or Easypower software experience
·  Autocad experience
·  Electrical maintenance and testing experience
