KEY INDIVIDUAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

·  Develop China’s evidence generation plan for PPH, Meninge and Other Endemic diseases in close collaboration with global partners (Global VEM, Global Medical) and regional/country stakeholders (Market Access/HEOR, Medical Affairs, Public Affairs, Policy and Commercial Operations). Reach consensus on the final plan across stakeholders on objectives and timelines.
·  Lead the execution of the regional epidemiology and modelling related evidence generation plan and maintain high scientific excellence. This involves
·  Identify external collaborators for meaningful externally sponsored collaborative (ESC) studies;
·  Receive proposal from external collaborators and present the study proposal to Global Medical Team (GMT) for strategic approval;
·  Reach a local consensus among cross-functional teams in China to move forward with the proposal;
·  Provide scientific input into the study protocol and have it reviewed/approved by the global Study Review Committee (SRC);
·  manage external research collaborators to execute the protocol-driven research and manage study budget and milestones;
·  review the final report and share the findings to local, regional and global stakeholders and publish manuscript in a peer-reviewed journal and/or communicate in scientific congresses.
·  Support the use of epidemiological and economic evidence to inform internal decision-making at Sanofi Pasteur and externally by our customers, recommendation bodies and public health agencies responsible for immunization and vaccination.
·  Comply with all internal to Sanofi requirements related to CSS (Company Sponsored Study) and ESC (Externally Sponsored Collaborative Study)
·  Develop a network of academic and public health partners that can guide the company’s research agenda, support research execution and thus maximize the company’s ability to generate impactful evidence.
·  Develop and manage relationship with cross-functional entities within specified geographies and franchise/product scopes.
·  Provide input into brand plans for the specified countries for effective business performance and share strategic input into various plans (local/regional/global).

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

·  PhD in Epidemiology/Mathematics /Economics/Health Economics or medical science
·  More than 5 years of research experience, supported by a record of publications
·  Previous experience working on vaccines or infectious diseases will be an asset
·  Experience of working in a matrixed organization
·  Expertise in developing epidemiological and modelling research studies in the country/ Asia-pacific region
·  Fluent in Mandarin and English.
