Statistical Forecaster

The primary activities follow a monthly cycle :

·  Get the latest sales history and upload them into the forecasting system (or check the good execution of the interface if any)
·  Extract the outliers and requesting explanation from the SC Business Partners
·  Update the statistical models accordingly
·  Produce a draft forecast, check forecast calculation results and and share them with SC Business Partners for S&OP meetings
·  Following S&OP meetings, update models with information received from SC BP (tenders, price changes, holidays effects…) , and upload final models/consensus forecast.
·  Update portfolio to prepare next month's run

On an adhoc basis or quarterly basis:

·  Run simulations to check that models and parameters are still optimum
·  Re-fit models whenever required, and re-publish forecast

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

·  EDUCATION: Tertiary education in Supply Chain/Logistics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or Econometrics

·  SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE: Pharmaceutical industry and its constraints; Working from Regional Headquarter and providing services to local teams

·  ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL SKILLS: Statistics, especially Times series analysis, Seasonal Adjustment and Forecasting; Tools supporting the above mentioned techniques, R; Data presentation and manipulation tools (Excel, SQL, QlikView…)
