About the Opportunity

To provide scientific expertise to the Sanofi Pasteur business unit. To assist the medical team with the medical/scientific aspects of specific project work based on business unit objectives.

Key responsibilities (not an exhaustive list)

·  Develop and maintain an excellent working knowledge of the Sanofi Pasteur (SP) therapeutic areas and associated products and be an internal point of reference for the SP scientific data and scientific expertise.
·  Support and scientifically advise the MSLs with their medical slides and briefing material development where appropriate.
·  Support the creation, configuration, project management, review, approval and implementation of medical activities and educational events including non-promotional disease awareness meetings.
·  Contribute to brand development through attendance and active participation in franchise team meetings and related activities by providing scientific expertise for the therapy area.
·  Work in a collaborative and consultative manner with the Franchise and commercial teams to ensure that any and all external communication materials are Code compliant and of a high standard.
·  Participate in the off-line material discussions and reviews and conduct the initial reviews of materials in Zinc up to but excluding final certification.
·  Ensure an ongoing awareness of all ABPI /IPHA Code requirements and Company policies and procedures, which are relevant to their role.

About You

·  Educated to degree level or equivalent with a scientific qualification, PhD level is preferable.
·  Competent to critically appraise studies and clinical evidence so as to become an internal point of reference for the SP therapeutic areas of knowledge and product data.
·  High attention to detail and accuracy as appropriate to the nature of the information they handle in this role.
·  An ability to prioritise work effectively; balancing both long and short term requirements.
·  Demonstrated ability as a proactive and effective team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
·  Confidence in their communication and interpersonal skills and hold a high standard of literacy and written communication.
·  Proven experience of building strong working relationships internally and externally to achieve results.
·  Ability to collaborate and share information to contribute to the planning process and execute the agreed plan in line with objectives.
·  Detailed understanding and a demonstrated competence of ABPI /IPHA Code of Practice and experience of its practical application in a business environment.
·  Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and of regulatory processes (Code of Practice and MHRA, HPRA).
