POSITION OVERVIEW

The position will direct, lead, and coordinate all activities pre- and post-release that impact COVID vaccine supply to support the BARDA volume commitments. The position will work closely with all key stakeholders (Procurement, PQMR, Planners, Schedulers, Batch Release, Distribution, the local Focus Factories and other DS producers in the network) to ensure the supply of COVID product for the US and other markets as needed. This position will be the supply chain lead for the COVID product line with responsibility for all supply chain aspects associated with raw material procurement, site preparation, product line planning, production, release and distribution of the product. The person will be the SC POC for senior management, global supply chain and will prepare information and presentations to support the local S&OP process, product line updates and the global S&OP process as needed.

Key accountabilities:

Direct all supply chain activities required to manufacture and distribute COVID vaccine.

·  Work with Protein Science’s and other DS producers in the network to align the delivery of Drug Substance
·  Work with local and global procurement to ensure raw materials are available to support planned production
·  Work with batch release and PQMR for the release of the Drug Substance or AFFM as needed
·  Work with the Ridgefield supply chain team to coordinate FG delivery to the Sanofi distribution center.
·  Identify and Implement process improvements throughout the supply chain at the SWR site
·  Develop and track metrics to ensure performance, identify bottlenecks and lead site remediation activities as needed 
·  Manage inventories of DS and DP and coordinate storage and distribution based on production and release activities

Lead and direct cross functional teams to ensure planning and execution level detail are aligned across all producers and manufacturing areas to ensure the overall FG deliver plan is supported. Coordinate all DS production sites to ensure align with DP FF&P plans. Identify any capacity constraints impacting supply plans and manage through local Capability Review, Supply review and if required the Global S&OP process.

·  Review end to end manufacturing schedule from all DS producers thru FG delivery from SWR and Ridgefield
·  Drug substance receipt and cold storage
·  Formulation schedule including buffers
·  Filling schedule
·  Inspection alignment
·  Packaging schedule
·  Develop release plan based off approved cycle time
·  Track release schedule milestones with Scheduling and execution team’s
·  Coordinate with Batch Release and Distribution Planner

Site supply chain POC Point of Contact with Global Supply Chain and COVID team

·  Ownership of the process form all producing and FF&P sites from DS coordination & receipt to release at BR to distribution.
·  Creation and Management of Change Control, as necessary, to implement procedural/ process improvements to improve supply capabilities
·  Develop standard documentation and process flows on how to manage supply 

Education and experience

•                Bachelor degree in a science related field, business or supply chain 

•                Minimum 3-5 year supply chain or experience with solid working knowledge of the product line management.

•                Strong working knowledge of supply chain and logistics/distribution required

•                Working knowledge of FF&IP production, quality systems (Change Management, Batch Release and regulatory processes required).

•                Good oral and written communication skills; Strong presentation skills a must.

•                Good interpersonal (influencing) and facilitation skills required
