Program Overview

Sanofi Pasteur is seeking motivated graduates with demonstrated academic excellence in Medicine/Medical Sciences and Business Administration who aspire to become leaders in the pharmaceutical industry. The company is offering such talent an opportunity to develop into a leader at Sanofi Pasteur in the discipline of Medical and Research & Development (R&D) through the Leadership Advancement Program (LeAP). The initial 3 years of this program involve functional rotations through areas of Medical and R&D to provide increased pharmaceutical industry knowledge and enhancement of leadership abilities through experiential learning and development opportunities. Initiation of the program will be in our US locations (Switfwater PA or Cambridge MA). Future assignments may be offered at other global locations {e.g., Toronto, Lyon, Singapore, Dubai…}

After successful program completion focused in the scientific, medical and business practices that underpin a multi-national pharmaceutical company the LeAP participant will be placed in a leadership position that best suits their competencies, interests and the organizational strategy.

Potential assignments in Sanofi Pasteur Global Research & Development

In LeAP you will work in conjunction within experienced teams on the following:

·  Complete CDP (Clinical Development Plan) / contribute to the TPP (Target Product Profile). Allows overall strategy to be assessed, formulated, implemented and interpreted in line with the Clinical Development strategy
·  Represent Clinical Sciences in the multi-functional New Vaccine Project Team
·  Direct and manage all activities for major clinical programs to support the clinical team in reaching clinical deliverables on time and within budget
·  Act as the liaison between the various platforms within Clinical Sciences and Programs, as well as, an interface between the Clinical project team and other enabling key interfacing functions, e.g., Regulatory Affairs, Medical
·  Ensure the project team and has a well-defined, cross functional, integrated plan that is aligned with the project strategy and Target Product Profile.
·  Create core Project Management documents such as project schedule, integrated development plan and responsibility matrix
·  Support the risk management program which encompasses identification, quantification (impact time and financial) and action/mitigation plans to respond to occurrences that may impact the project
·  Create medical content of study documents and in conjunction with Global Pharmacovigilance and Epidemiology representatives validates with Product Safety Officer, Serious Adverse Event management processes for the study
·  Responsible for the drafting of clinical sections of the Common Technical Document (CTD) for submission of licensure
·  Respond to questions relating to the CTD from Regulatory Authorities
·  Ensure a consistent, systematic approach to the analysis and interpretation of efficacy, immunogenicity and safety data

Potential assignments in Sanofi Pasteur Medical

The group consists of talented individuals with strong scientific/medical backgrounds and sharp business acumen. Leaders in Medical are tasked with generating new evidence, translating evidence into insights, and using evidence and insights to shape the business, policy and healthcare practices around Sanofi Pasteur vaccines.

In LeAP you will work in conjunction within experienced teams on the following:

·  Define a vaccine's value proposition
·  Translate a vaccine's evidence base into business and policy relevant insights
·  Provide strategic scientific and medical input into commercial business planning and execution
·  Provide medical and epidemiological input into new vaccine R&D
·  Develop evidence generation plans to support a vaccine post licensure
·  Develop and execute scientific research through external partnerships
·  Post marketing randomized trials
·  Epidemiological and economic assessments of vaccine effectiveness and burden of disease
·  Develop external scientific and research partnerships with health systems, public and private research institutions and academia
·  Engage with stakeholders in the public and private sector to develop evidence based recommendations and practices to support Sanofi Pasteur vaccines
·  Lead scientific exchange with key opinion leaders and scientific experts to advance the science around Sanofi Pasteur vaccines
·  Lead the corporate governance of ethical commercial practices

The Medical group has presence in all Sanofi Pasteur major global hub offices including: Lyon, France; Toronto, Canada; Boston, Swiftwater and Bridgewater, USA; Singapore; Panama City, Panama; Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As well as, all country offices. In this way Medical is able to operate and lead at a global level while also retaining the specificity needed to positively impact specific countries.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorates Degree :

·  Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) / Master of Business Administration (MBA)
·  Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) / Master of Business Administration (MBA)
·  Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) / Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Beneficial additions:

·  Previous Pharmaceutical Industry experience
·  Previous team management experience.
·  Post residency clinical experience.
