Health, Safety and Environment Associate L1-2

Job Overview :

Responsible for evaluating and implementing Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) programs and policies that comply with all current local, state and federal HSE rules and regulations and continuously strive to reduce the incidence and severity of occupational injury and illness and environmental impacts. Help develop and maintain HSE management system and ensure that the facility meets or exceeds all Sanofi Corporate HSE program requirements. Complete HSE Risk Assessments to Identify and evaluate working conditions and makes appropriate adjustments to safeguard against potential HSE risks.

Responsibilities:

·  Provide technical assistance and advice to operations managers, employees, and contractors regarding HSE issues.
·  Effectively communicate HSE matters to all levels of the organization.
·  Conduct accident/incident investigation, including root cause analysis and implementation of recommended corrective actions.
·  Serve as lead on certain HSE programs/projects.
·  Assist HSE manager in preparing for and executing internal and external HSE audits.

Requirements & Qualifications:

·  Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience in an HSE role or a Master's Degree and 1-3 years of experience in and HSE role
·  Ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast, priority-switching environment
·  Solid verbal, written, and presentation communication and problem solving skills
·  Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
·  Demonstrates good time management and organizational skills
·  Training and experience in incident command, emergency response, HAZMAT, first aid, or other relevant HSE topics
·  HSE Certification in OSHST, ASP, CSP, CHMM, or CIH a plus
·  Working knowledge of ISO 14001/OSHSAS18001/ANSI Z10 a plus

Terms of employment:

·  Ability to wear a self-contained breathing apparatus or other specialized personal protective equipment.
·  May be required to perform physical demands of lifting up to 30 pounds
·  Ability to gown for access to clean room environments

Location information

The Northborough facility Provides Material Product Support to Sanofi locations throughout the globe, including material testing, packaging & labeling, raw material warehousing, receiving, and distribution. We have state of the art chemical storage rooms, warehouse, cold rooms, QC labs, and designated clean room packaging areas.
