Job description

Overview:

Part of R&D ITS, theDigital Solution Center (DSC) is charged with innovating and transforming the collective clinical trial experience for patients and the various medical professionals with whom Sanofi engages. This group partners with various internal stakeholders and customers in order to define, implement, and evaluate the different digital solutions and strategies that may improve clinical trial conduct. Specifically within the Mobile and Social team, the objective is to implement digital strategies that focus on patient recruitment, retention, and engagement in addition to improving the experience of our partnering sites.

The Digital Service Manager will manage and provide technical oversight for multiple pilots within the program. These programs will include Study Start Up workflows and multi-channel recruitment. The successful candidate will be expected to both provide business-driven counsel to internal teams and provide concrete instruction to trial teams and recommendations to their chosen vendors/partners. This person is ideally the perfect blend of “digital” and “business.\'

The Digital Service Manager will also have a role in designing, in cooperation with multiple stakeholders, the operating model for enabling full-scale deployment of digital services.

Job Duties:

Directly manage and launch Distributed Study applications and trial programs

·  Support activities for implementing these programs, from RFP development to contract execution. This entails end-to-end (Sanofi to vendor) performance supervision (KPI, SLA)
·  Provide specific instruction and guidance to teams; partner with the correct ITS colleagues to ensure proper review and launch activities
·  Provide concrete recommendations to optimize programs based on data; continuously encourage teams to strive for success
·  Act as a point of escalation for any immediate needs stemming from internal or external parties
·  Maintain and consistently monitor analytics and learnings from pilot programs; translate findings into insights and actionable recommendations for programs in the future
·  Participate in status calls with vendors and teams, maintain status sheets and provide reporting metrics to larger Clinical Digital team
·  Partner with enabling functions and stakeholders in CSO for industrialization pathway

Identify new digital partners, facilitate their qualification, partner with teams to pilot and implement, report on learnings and results

·  Identify unmet needs within the clinical trial site experience; perform analysis and sizing on external digital partners who might meet these needs
·  Set metrics and goals for the initiative under the guidance of the Domain Head
·  Recommend and facilitate qualification of new digital partners, identify trial teams who are willing to pilot solution or strategy
·  Work with the team to implement the solution or strategy, monitor results and learnings, and report back to larger Clinical Digital team

Participate and lead internal digital transformation initiatives; provide ongoing communications updates to key stakeholders; transform Sanofi's digital operating model

·  Develop training and other internal capability development programs, depending on the need
·  Deliver digital training an awareness sessions in the US and globally; may include both webinars and live formats
·  Draft communication updates for CDSC, partners in the Clinical Science Operations (CSO), and the Digital Catalyst team.
·  Be a champion of digital transformation and influence Sanofi business partners in cross-functional areas on the strategy, goal and objectives of the program through clear communication, respect, and leadership
·  Identify, improve, and streamline Sanofi processes to maximize efficiencies and embrace a “fail fast, learn fast” culture
·  Provide concrete recommendations for revising Sanofi's digital operating model, work with key stakeholders in different enabling functions to implement this new model
·  Partner with ITS colleagues to revise or develop new operational models

Collaborate and support other digital work streams; monitor industry progress in Distribute Studies, monitor industry updates and progress in mobile health

·  When needed, provide technical and strategic guidance to other teams within the Clinical Digital Program given close correlation on core activities and scope
·  Transfer global learnings and knowledge to ITS, Digital Catalyst, CSO colleagues and others within enabling functions

Knowledge And Skills:

Basic Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree required.

Experience in digital project implementation and management (2-4 years). This could take different forms, such as a:

·  Software company project or product manager; programming team leader with project management responsibilities
·  Digital producer, involved in website or app development
·  Intermediate to advanced Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills are required.
·  Fluent in English language, written and oral.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the healthcare industry is strongly preferred

Knowledge of clinical operations is a plus

Experience using third-party APIs

French language skills is a plus
