Job Responsibilities:

The CAA is a field-based sales position responsible for the sales of the Genzyme LSD products across Genetic disease portfolio. Successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of sales, market development and strategic business planning and implementation of genetic products (Cerezyme, Cerdelga, Fabrazyme, Lumyzime and Aldurazyme) within the Genzyme portfolio. Successful candidate should have a strong background of working through multi-level selling processes such as pharmacy and therapeutics committees and/or an account selling background. The CAA is a strategic leader with a superior knowledge of and excellent proficiency in leading a cross functional team. Successful candidate should have excellent skills in strategic planning and utilization of resources and budget to advance and execute corporate priorities.

The position will be responsible for the following:

·  Achieving and exceeding assigned monthly, quarterly and annual sales quotas
·  Meeting and supporting the Genetic sales Business Unit objectives
·  Developing and facilitate patient find activity in key accounts
·  Developing referral, evaluation, and treatment networks surrounding key accounts
·  Enabling local clinical networks to diagnose and treat LSD patients
·  Maintaining current center relationships and promotes “Find” activity within them
·  Developing and implementing strategic plans across key centers and hospital networks across assigned geography
·  Coordinating “Find” meetings
·  Educating on signs and symptoms of diseases and facilitate screenings
·  Conducts Speaker programs
·  Interfaces with CSA (local sales specialist) to maintain awareness of patient identification efforts within their assigned geography
·  Coordinates Opti-Team activities for assigned territory and oversees team communication and planning

Requirements:

Up to 50% Travel

Territory includes Pittsburgh, Buffalo NY and Cleveland OH

Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and a minimum of 7 years of recent successful pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience

Excellent clinical selling skills and high level of knowledge relating to the treatment of LSDs

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and collaboratively cross-functionally and influence without direct authority

Preferred Qualifications:

MS preferred (business/clinical/science)

Proven sales track record as a top performer
Project Management skills

Facilitative Leadership skills

Influencing without direct authority skills

Experience in Genetic, LSD products or RARE diseases preferred
