Vitreo-Retinal Equipment Training Mgr
Please note that this position can be located in any Western European country
Purpose of position
Train and develop the EMEA marketing & sales force associates in the full portfolio of Alcon Vitreo-retinal equipment
Main duties and responsibilities of this role are but are not limited to:
• Build competences among EMEA surgical sales teams in application and use of Alcon Vitreo surgical equipment.
• Build competencies in vitreoretinal surgical techniques.
• Follow competitive equipment development and assist marketing in building counter-messaging by using appropriate communication tools (presentations, email bulletins, workshops, forum, tele-conferencing, etc.).
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on key initiatives within product launches, KOL development, demo support, congresses, live surgery events etc.
• Work with direct manager, affiliates and the EMEA marketing managers in order to identify training needs and priorities.
• Support initiatives to ensure that the appropriate level of product and surgical procedure knowledge is maintained among EMEA sales reps throughout their tenure in the company.
• Obtain and provide feedback from/to delegates and their managers with the purpose of continuously improving the training programs
• Efficient, timely and accurate reporting to relevant stakeholders.
• Assist in spotting new training talent and participate in mentoring new possible candidates for training position.
This position requires approximately 75% of travel time.

Desired profile
Minimum requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
• Bachelor's degree in business, education, engineering, science, medical profession or equivalent years of directly related experience from the specialty.
• Languages: Fluent in English, preferably 1 more foreign language + native tongue.
• Minimum of 5 years medical/surgical equipment sales experience, including 4 years w. Alcon Surgical Cataract and Vitreo-Retinal equipment.
• Experience within a Sales and/or CAS function.
• 2 years of marketing experiences (product management and/or marketing management).
• Medical Devices experience is essential for this role
