We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Medical Lead to join our ever-growing team working on a launch of oncotherapeutic product with outstanding phase 3 results.

The ideal Medical Lead will be a physician and final signatory with proven experience in leading and implementing medical strategy to the therapy area across UK and Ireland.

The right candidate will become part of the leadership team at Country level and provide inputs/contribute to the country objectives. They will be “hands on” for the execution on the field, meeting with customers, running scientific communications and guiding the MSL team.

Key Responsibilities:

 Ensuring that all Medical Affairs related activities comply with the company’s standards, regulations and compliance requirements and follow good ethical practice
 Representing Medical Affairs in cross functional decisions and providing medical opinion to other functions so strategies can be developed in the therapy area
 Overseeing all KOL interactions within the therapy area
 Taking ownership of, managing and developing clear, structured and effective core claims plans and publications documents meeting Therapeutic Area & Brand objectives
 Defining strategy & supports clinical studies that are being conducted in the geography
 Supporting the delivery of the Brand Operational Plan
 Conducting gap analysis to identify and optimise future marketing potential of the Brand
 Supporting Brand Manager and the Marketing team to develop market leading promotional campaigns
 Ensuring credibility and professionalism in all product communication activities and materials
 Supporting promotional activities by reviewing and approving marketing materials to ensure compliance within UK regulatory framework
 Adapting non-UK product documentation for use in UK
 Building strong working relationships with Key Opinion Leaders as well as management and maintenance of relevant relationships in the medical and scientific community
 Defining and implementing local publication strategy for the subsidiary
 Supporting commercial activities, such as conferences and key events as well as profiling of competitors as appropriate
 Continuously updating in-depth scientific and medical knowledge and be well informed about clinical trends and guidelines in oncology
 Ensuring proactive provision of current awareness e.g. Medical Insight, competitor data and trial data, to field force and head office personnel
 Internal training and specialist support on Brand and Therapeutic Area for head office and field force personnel
 Maintaining high professional standards of conduct in line with the Company procedures with a duty of care to the reputation of the Company.

Location: Home based, however, travel to Central London a minimum of 5 days every two weeks

Desired profile

Minimum requirements

 In depth understanding UK pharmaceutical laws and regulations including MHRA and ABPI rules
 Degree in Medicine
 GMC registered & final signatory status required
 2+ years’ experience in Medical Advisor role (preferably in Oncology). Relevant experience in medical affairs.
 Good leadership skills, resilience, high levels of cross functional collaboration and an ability to work strategically and operationally
 Strong project management skills
 Ability to work on multiple projects with short deadlines
 Understanding of legal and ethical issues related to promotion of new and existing products in the UK
 Strategic thinker
 Proactive, self-starter, autonomous
 Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
 Excellent team player leading projects from planning to execution and termination.
