General Description
The Product Marketing Specialist executes assigned tasks in support of product marketing plans. Supports Product Marketing teams in execution of delegated tasks. Maintains price lists, product launch calendars, ROI analysis, competitive assessments, product specification sheets, and so on. More specifically, inputs “conditions” into the system, updates promotion roadmaps, sets up new model information, and inputs data into the target plan (TP). Tracks and analyzes sales performance, generates reports, and provides insights as required. May have a direct product responsibility that is within the portfolio of the product team.  Supports Product Marketing teams in execution of delegated tasks  Maintains key product marketing documents (e.g., price lists, launch calendars, ROI analysis, competitive assessments, and product specification sheets)  Updates promotion roadmaps and sets up new model information  Maintains the accuracy and utility of the monthly Target Plan (TP)  Provides consolidated product sales information to shape go-to-market planning, pricing, channel utilization, and product lifecycle management  Supports the development and uploading of sales enablement tools and information (e.g., product presentations, product examples, product demos, sales sheets, pricing information)  Coordinates the capture and reporting of product launch issues, and contributes to the resolution of these challenges  Coordinates product availability information with supply chain, sales, and customer stakeholders  Creates periodic and ad hoc reports that track the sales performance of assigned products  When requested, fulfils a direct product responsibility that is within the portfolio of the product team  Develops cross-functional relationships within Samsung to gain needed information  Tracks monthly finances and expenses and submits forecasted spend by customer  Monitors weekly sell-in and sell-out and inventory metrics  Analyzes and reports promotion effectiveness  Coordinates which products need to be available for marketing events and ensures that samples are provided for events  Visits retail stores to gather timely competitive intelligence  Lineup management – Supports, manages, or directs the management of product / portfolio lineup activities and initiatives targeted at driving operational efficiency or responding to market challenges  Launching management – Supports and oversees all new product launch activities that contribute to the achievement of new product target volume and profit objectives, and collaborates with Demand Generation and Sales teams in developing launch schedules  Price administration – Supports, manages, or directs the management of pricing strategies by product and by segment  End of production management – Collaborates with operations, sales, and supply chain on end-of-life (EOL) product schedules and strategies to minimize aging product inventory and to build counter-strategies to resolve remnant material challenges  Data Collection and Reporting – Uses analytic tools, databases, and resources to collect, organize, and report product performance against KPIs and forecasts  Data-Driven Insight Generation – Analyzes data, spots patterns, and extracts and shares actionable insights with others  Product Marketing Enablement – Acts as a key conduit for product information, promotion assets, programs, and tools to enhance product marketing and sales
