DSC is responsible for providing an efficient, effective and sustainable working environment for 30,000 employees of Roche Diagnostics globally. This is done in various ways, from designing office layouts, to constructing manufacturing facilities, controlling and approval of capital expenditure across the division to handling real estate transactions in 104 countries around the world. This multi-disciplinary team offers the perfect environment for a motivated intern to apply transferable skills in a dynamic setting.

We are looking for two motivated, engaged, mature, self-starting individuals, keen to grow and prove capability to pursue additional tasks beyond the core responsibilities outlined below.

Core responsibilities

Facility Management

· 
Contribute to the development and implementation of the Lifecycle Asset Management concept

· 
Support FM service delivery initiative

· 
Design cost coding and allocation principles

· 
Support the review and implementation of digital solutions

Real Estate

· 
Critical date and project initiation tracking

· 
Real estate portfolio management

· 
Financial governance programme management support

· 
Improved analysis and management of data

· 
Systems administration

· 
Optimisation of existing workflows and tools - process design and automation

· 
Design and implement improved data management protocols

· 
Internal reporting & comms

· 
Transaction management of real estate projects as required

Workplace

· 
Monitoring high level space budget in all departmental projects

· 
Setting up and running space utilization studies in all relevant projects

· 
Working with local teams to ensure compliance with process

· 
Evaluating data from multiple sources and prepare recommendations

· 
Work with other scope areas in wider team to obtain their approval for relevant project related decisions

· 
Work with the Workplace community to improve how projects are approached

Programme Management

· 
Track the main milestones and due dates of active projects

· 
Regular update of the status tracking document

Who you are

You’re someone who wants to influence your own development. You’re looking for a company where you have the opportunity to pursue your interests across functions and geographies, and where a job title is not considered the final definition of who you are, but the starting point.

You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Real Estate or equivalent. You have strong communication and interpersonal/networking skills, as well as the energy and motivation to succeed in a dynamic and challenging environment. You speak English fluently and ideally have work experience in this field.

The preferred start date of the internship is September 2018 or upon availability. However, please indicate your availability in your motivation letter. Applications need to include a CV and motivation letter.

Due to government regulations non-EU/EFTA citizens have to provide a certificate from their universities stating that an internship is a mandatory part of their degree course. Please enclose this certificate together with your application documents.
