As a Process Improvement Engineer – Manufacturing , you will provide engineering expertise to lead and support product and process improvement activities. You will interface with development, manufacturing, quality and supply chain to transfer products and new process into high volume production. You will sustain products with cost reduction, yield and efficiency improvements. You will participate in the application of new process improvement tools and methodologies.

As a Process Improvement Engineer – Manufacturing , you will have specialized knowledge of specific work processes or area and applies this knowledge to look in-depth at information pertaining to the area. You will manage, organize, and analyze data or other information. Acts as a resource in providing information to others in the implementation of solutions. You will apply fundamental concepts, practices and procedures to analytical work.

You will also be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.

Responsibilities:

·  Improve efficiencies in manufacturing packaging processes
·  Collaborate with operators, technicians and engineers to support an automated carton and labeling packaging operation
·  Provide technical support to ensure that packaging specifications meet Roche and industry requirements for new and existing packaging configurations and its components
·  Develop and maintain effective documentation for packaging specifications and procedures in accordance with ISO and Quality System policies and procedures.

Requirements:

·  Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related discipline or equivalent experience
·  Full understanding of area(s) of specialty

Preferred:

·  Previous SAP experience (preferred).
·  Working knowledge of manufacturing applications, including but not limited to; AutoCad, MES, AIMS, WindChill, BarTender and CMS systems (preferred).
·  Knowledge and/or previous experience with packaging specifications and requirements (paper: caliper, weight, coating and corrugated) (preferred).
·  Ability to interpret and analyze dimensions from engineering drawings. (preferred)
·  Good communication, critical thinking, problem-solving and mathematics skills; skilled at multitasking, technical writing and project management;
·  Strong attention to detail.
