This includes the following Hospitals: Dorset County Hospital, Poole District General Hospital, Royal Bournemouth Hospital, Salisbury District General Hospital, Queen Alexandra Hospital Portsmouth, Winchester District General Hospital, North Hampshire Hospital Basingstoke.

This position is a superb opportunity for the successful candidate to provide high-quality support to the key Roche hospital pathology services in the above-mentioned region. Being field based you will provide frontline support across a variety of analytical systems covering applications support, IT support and training.

Introduction to Roche Diagnostics:

You will be part of a targeted cross-functional team of four liaising closely with other field-based colleagues, Account team and Regional Customer Support Center based in Burgess Hill.

Reporting to the Regional Technical Lead, you will join a group of over 200 field and office based Roche Diagnostics Limited employees in Technical Services, based strategically across the UK and Ireland who provide superior customer service in engineering, applications, IT and Workflow services.

Scope of the role:

Pivotal to your role will be the provision of technical support including preventative maintenance, hardware & software troubleshooting. You will take ownership of on-going issues and act as an escalation point for any technical interventions. In close collaboration with other Roche experts, you will also be coordinating operational excellence on key topics such as system configuration, reagent consumption, assay performance and on-going workflow and optimisation studies.

In addition, you will organise and deliver training programmes to enhance the laboratory employees' understanding and use of our Roche solutions.

You would be required to generate activity reports and participate in Technical/Operational Review and Quality meetings with all customer key stakeholders and overall provide an outstanding level of service delivery from Roche Diagnostics Limited.

For this position, you will be based in the Dorset / Hampshire area. The role will cover 7 sites across these counties (Salisbury is also included).

The newly formed network has been created under the NHS improvement (NHSi) programme. This role will enable the successful candidate to be a part of the first NHSi implementation in the UK. The partnership developed here with the network and sites could be pivotal in the delivery and collaboration with the other NHSi networks in the UK. With this intent in mind, applicants will only be considered if they are either currently residing within this geographical area – or willing to relocate.

Who you are:

The team will have a complementary skills mix. You will be a state registered Biomedical Scientist who will have ideally gained significant experience in a modern automated laboratory environment or supporting high value / high tech capital equipment. As a Biomedical Scientist, you would have practiced at a band 6 grade or higher.

To be successful in this role, you will need to show a growth mindset and have the ability to approach work using agile techniques. You will have some understanding of the barriers to acceptance and change management. The ability to generate engagement of the Laboratory teams to the new solutions is essential.

With a confident approach and strong communication skills, you will have a desire to continually enhance service delivery and strengthen our client partnerships. You will be passionate to improve and shape successful patient outcomes. You will be expected to work proactively with our solutions and minimalism the level of unplanned downtime. When required you will be expected to show high levels of troubleshooting and fault resolution.

In addition, the following skills/experience will be desirable but not essential:
