The Business Planning & Analytics is part of the Global ERP Team within Roche's Global Infrastructure and Solutions (GIS) organization, with a multicultural, dynamic team providing analytics solutions to the Roche community worldwide. The Finance Planning and Analytics team provides global end-to-end solutions on the space of Finance, and our vision is to be the organization that best understands the needs of our finance stakeholders and provides meaningful responses through technology and analytics innovation.

As an intern within our team you have growing interest in Analytics (Business Intelligence, Planning, Modeling, Advanced Analytics), and educational background in informatics or math. This internship position will allow you to get an understanding of the analytics space (strategic, long term, etc.) on the mentioned area within Finance IT solutions on a global environment.

We are looking for an energetic personality, who will have the following main responsibilities:

· 
Building an understanding of Finance requirements and processes, and supporting the process of translating them into a specific solution and system design

· 
Learning and conducting development and customizing (using SAP, IBM Cognos TM1, Tableau, R, Python, others)

· 
Supporting the test design; conducting and supporting functional (exploratory and system) testing; supporting user acceptance testing

This internship can start from February 2020 onwards and will last for 6 to12 months.

Desired profile

Who you are

You are a student in your final phase of your Bachelor's or Master's Degree in computer science, software engineering or similar field.

For the position you bring the following qualification:

· 
Experience with programming languages in corporate environments or in student projects

· 
Basic general business process understanding / knowledge in Finance

· 
General understanding of multidimensional concepts and preferably first experience in Business Intelligence areas or tools (e.g.IBM Cognos TM1, SAP BW, SPSS, Essbase, etc.)

· 
Good understanding in Analytics (Montecarlo Simulation, what-if scenarios, time series, etc.) Hands on experience with data and statistical languages/tools such as SQL, R, Python, SAS and similar

· 
Good MS Excel knowledge (e.g. Excel functions, charts, etc.) and PowerPoint

· 
Good communication skills with both technical teams and business representatives.

· 
Fluent English language skills. Additional languages, e.g. German, French or Spanish are an asset.

In order to ensure that your application will be considered, it has to include a current CV as well as a motivation letter.

Due to regulations non-EU/EFTA citizens have to provide a certificate from the university stating that an internship is mandatory as part of the application documents.
