We are seeking an exceptional, highly motivated, and talented doctorate student (DVM or MD) to perform in vivo experiments to explore safety and efficacy of novel therapeutic approaches for ocular diseases. In this position you will interact closely with other scientists and technicians in a laboratory.

Specifically, you will:

·  Assist with ocular examinations of animal models in drug safety studies
·  Apply in vivo imaging modalities with a focus on optical coherence tomography (OCT)
·  Participate in ongoing research projects
·  Train and supervise laboratory technicians and fellow researchers to expand skills and knowledge within the team

·  you have an academic background in veterinary medicine, medicine or related life sciences
·  You have a demonstrated interest in ophthalmology
·  Hands-on experience with animal handling and procedures is a plus
·  Independent project management and communication skills
·  You are well organized and committed to formal record keeping, a team player, and you foster a collaborative spirit with scientist and technician colleagues. You can adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment, are fluent in English and have good presentation and communication skills.
