about the role
Market Research and Implementation of Orange IC key strategic points
Design and development of tools and methods to steer the voice, mobile and data business, helping to drive forward new opportunities with existing and potential customers
Contribute in leadership and co-leadership position on delivery of Orange International Carriers’ flagship projects particularly on researching, driving and tracking progress of corridor opportunities between retailers and group members. Leadership position on developing tracking tools, creating reporting outputs and chairing the presentation of performance at the steer co meetings
Budget Process
Leadership position on design and development of research analysis tools to deliver and implement the budget exercise with particular focus on critical points of strategy; Orange footprint products and voice margin
Development of analysis tools and techniques to deliver distribution of budget between sales regions worldwide
Voice Purchase Management
Managing the voice supplier database; ensuring reliable cost base, building business oriented processes and providing efficient support to internal sales teams and directly to external suppliers
Optimising the supplier base to become more competitive and improve margin in our different markets; improving the level of trade with existing suppliers, analysing and approving business cases to expand the supplier panel and delisting of disadvantageous providers
Preventing profitability losses and disputes by closely following-up the day to day operational activity with external suppliers and putting controls and KPIs in place
Being the main interface with external parties for resolution of price list discrepancies
Analysing live international traffic streams; datamining big data sets and developing management level reporting on evolutions and making recommendations to protect, sustain and maximise trading
Pushing purchase from debt carriers to drive the net balance back into IC’s favour
Contributing to destination development strategies to strengthen Orange’s position in different markets, including numbering plan and market price analysis
Risk Management and Process
Developing tracking tools for daily/weekly operational usage including Exception Pricing, Forex, contract signature, ageing and rejected PL’s
Representing the team at the Risk, Process and Controls workgroup to propose solutions to further strengthen process security and mitigation of business risks and creation of relevant KPIs to follow-up the efficiency of the controls and actions implemented
Safeguarding profitability. Producing alerts and actions on loss-making customer:destination:supplier trios
Developing and enhancing reports presented to top management to improve and manage the evolution of our activities
Carrying transversal critical projects, understanding and solving business problems, contributing in lead or co-lead position. Including liaison with legal and technical teams for improvement of contracts and processes and delivery of Orange IC strategic priorities, including and not limited to TDM to VoIP migration, corridors, connecting new voice retailers, connecting A2P
Contributing to the design and development of sales analysis tools to drive the trading business on an operational and strategic level, enhancing tools, best practices, methods and processes to the evolving needs of the market
about you
Educated to degree level in commerce, economics, business or telecoms
Must have datamining experience
Experience working in close collaboration with sales and marketing teams
Proven analytical skills
Good Telecoms and/or IT industry knowledge
Ability to work collaboratively on projects and carry out analysis autonomously
Experience in forecasting and budgeting processes in Telecoms or similar industry
Must be highly competent with Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPoint, Access; VBA basic knowledge would be an advantage
Highly numerical with a knack for spotting trends, outliers and oddities
An excellent communicator in verbal and written English
A fast-learner and be able to pick up new skills quickly
A team player, able to work in a multi-lingual and multi-cultural environment
Autonomous, rigorous and thorough with an aptitude for problem-solving
Able to demonstrate advanced reporting and presentation skills to management
