Nielsen Watch platforms is looking for an experience Full Stack Developer with Focus on Ruby / Ruby on Railsto join our Digital Engineering team. You will be involved in the full life-cycle development, testing and deployment of our specific applications that enable measuring linear (live) and on-demand TV viewing using TVs, mobile devices. You will be joining a strong international, agile working and technical sound team.

Responsibilities:

·  Develop complex applications in Ruby on Rails, NodeJS, Go, Java & AWS Cloud Native
·  Develop automated tests for 3rd Party applications on various platforms testing using Selenium and/or similar technologies.
·  Develop and Design Ideas to further integrate the application in our digital Landscape
·  Investigate into new ways of testing and act as a sparringspartner within our Department.
·  Automate deployments and configuration management using Ansible.

Requirements:

·  Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
·  Very good knowledge in Ruby on Rails, Javascript, HTML, CSS & Selenium
·  Very good knowledge in designing & implementing microservice oriented applications
·  Very good knowledge in Implementing User Interfaces
·  Very good knowledge in designing & implementing APIs
·  Profound experience with relational databases, preferred Postgres
·  Strong knowledge in NoSQL Databases (e.g. MongoDB)
·  Good knowledge in OOD (modeling, design and development)
·  Very good understanding of data structures and active Record
·  Very good English skills (written and spoken)
·  Expert ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills to solve complex design and coding problems.
·  Strong communication skills across time zones & countries
