Job description

The Subsea & Land System (SLS) business group is responsible for the engineering, supply and installation of HV submarine and land cable systems.
The Norwegian unit is the center of expertise for the HV submarine cable systems, and has the worldwide responsibility for Sales and Execution of Projects, either in supply only, or in turnkey, including installation, protection and commissioning of the HV submarine cable systems.
The HV submarine cable business is currently in an expansion phase where major projects are under development in all business segments (Grid connections, Offshore Wind, Oil & Gas).
To support our client and improve our market position, Nexans has initiated some technical marketing activities by having cooperations with clients at early stage of the project life. Feasibility and FEED studies are performed in order to provide reliable technical and economical inputs to the Client's decision.
Your missions :
As VIE, you will be integrated in the Technical Marketing team, in order to perform and assist in technico economical studies of HV submarine cable projects.
An example could be to study the connection of an offshore wind farm to the grid, and look at various alternatives, and perform a technical economical analysis to present an optimal solution to the Client.
Project opportunities are worldwide and would include all business segments covered by the Business Group (Grid connections, Offshore Wind, Oil & Gas).
Your profile :
- MSc in Electrical Engineering
- Knowledge on HV cables would be a benefit
- Knowledge to perform basic economical analysis
- ability to work in and lead a small team to perform a study
- fluent in English
