Postdoctoral Researcher - limited for 2 years (all genders)

Your role:

The Translational Innovation Platform Oncology group is offering a 2-year postdoctoral researcher position in the field of tumour plasticity with specific interest in 3D cancer cell culture (specifically organoid/tumoroid cultures). You will be responsible for establishing 3D cancer cell cultures and co-cultures with additional cell types present in the tumour microenvironment and characterizing these cultures molecularly and morphologically. In addition, you will be working on the identification, characterization and validation of novel targets and therapeutic concepts to drive our efforts in developing innovative oncology drugs. Your tasks include planning and conducting of experimental work, analysis and interpretation of results and their communication in oral and written form.

The position is initially limited to 2 years with an option for extension.

 

Your qualification:

·  PhD in molecular or cellular biology, pharmacology or other related biological sciences
·  Experience in establishing and characterizing primary 3D cell culture
·  Solid expertise in image-based analysis of 3D cell-cultures, experience with single-cell analysis methods and processing of large volume data-sets as a plus
·  Strong background in cancer biology, solid knowledge in pharmacology and/or developmental pathways as a plus; highly motivated, research-oriented with a problem-solving mindset
·  Strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills;Posting descriptionFluent in English
