Facilities Engineer, Facilities Technical Operations

Your role:

The Facilities Engineer is responsible for applying engineering expertise to evaluate and troubleshoot the performance of critical infrastructure systems, evaluates existing and emerging technologies, and develops proposals for the upgrade or replacement of existing systems. The Facilities Engineer manages building systems to ensure efficient energy consumption, optimal operations and performance, while supporting and responding to building related disruptions. The Facilities Engineer shall lead risk management activities, such as failure analysis, troubleshooting within a pharmaceutical R&D Campus and remote office sites as needed. The Facilities Engineer is the subject matter expert for all MEP projects and systems. Manages and monitors consultants for compliance with project scope, including review and approval of design plans, and specifications.

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:

·  8+ years of progressive facilities engineering experience with mechanical and lab utility services

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
·  Facilities engineering experience in biotech/pharmaceutical environment
·  CEM Certification
·  Position requires occasional domestic travel
·  LEED / WELL Building Standard AP
·  Strong background in predictive maintenance, reliability engineering, and energy management
·  Project management for MEP and building renovations
·  Proficiency in MEP & control system troubleshooting
·  Ability to work in a fast paced, matrixed, cross functional work environment
·  Strong oral, written, presentation and communication skills
·  Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, AutoCAD, CMMS Applications
·  Cross functional project leader with ability to simultaneously manage multiple sophisticated projects effectively
·  Self-starter with excellent planning and organizational skills
·  General knowledge of current MA building & MEP codes
·  Experience with the design and engineering analysis of complex mechanical systems and issues
·  Demonstrated leadership and maintenance project management experience
