Engineering Supervisor

Your Role

 

The Engineering Lead (Maintenance Delivery) is responsible for the upkeep of the facilities at the Irvine site. This covers all buildings, equipment, infrastructure and grounds and is managed using a planned preventative maintenance schedule, calibration programme, and maintenance and safety database.

 

Duties will include:

 

·  Execution of planned preventative maintenance schedule and calibration schedule
·  Supervision of site Facilities Engineers and External contractors
·  Performs risk assessments prior to undertaking any maintenance tasks ensuring risks and hazards have been identified
·  Responsible for planning and executing work orders for maintenance requests and documenting accurately and appropriately on Frontline maintenance management system and key equipment log books
·  Fault finding and repairs to buildings and equipment to provide continuity of operations minimizing production downtime
·  Liaison with other departments on scheduling of maintenance work/repairs
·  Site contact for contractors and as such responsible for them when they are on site adhering to site contractor control policy
·  Create, update and review documentation related to the maintenance function
·  Completion of deviations, CAPA and change control relating to the maintenance function
·  Identify continuous improvement ideas and participate in department and site continuous improvement initiatives
·  Participate in Root Cause Analysis as required
·  Planning and execution of small projects pertinent to site maintenance activities
·  Placing purchase requisitions for contractor work and spare parts

 

Who you are :

 

Education:

 

·  Formal electrical, automation or mechanical apprenticeship
·  HND/Degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical/Automation Engineering
·  NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent health and safety qualification
·  Authorised person pressure systems
·  Electrical Duty holder and Maintenance Management Certification

Experience:

 

·  Significant experience working in a similar role in a regulated environment such as pharmaceuticals Medical Device or foods
·  Proven experience of managing a team including performance and development activities as well as conducting formal appraisal processes
·  Multi-discipline maintenance experience including Electrical/Mechanical/Instrumentation
·  Hands-on engineering and/or electrical experience with manufacturing or building services equipment
·  Plant commissioning experience desirable
·  Experience managing a team of facilities engineers and experience of leading and managing a team of facilities engineers and small projects
·  Incorporated Engineer status

 

Skills:

 

·  You will be a good communicator with ability to liaise with multi-disciplinary teams
·  Sense of urgency working to tight deadlines
·  Strong problem solving, people management and resource management skills
·  Working knowledge of HS&E systems including Permit to Work etc
·  Working knowledge of HVAC, WFI, PW and pure steam systems.
·  Working experience and understanding of current GMP requirements and Working knowledge of Legionella principals
·  Experience of Pressurised vessels regulations
·  Setting, reviewing and assessing team performance and Setting and executing site KPI‘s
