Transportation Operations Analyst – St. Charles, MO

Primary objective of the role is to provide operations management of the Royal Canin USA transportation network, ensuring that all modes (Truckload, Intermodal, Transfer points, and LTL) meet all freight to customer and freight to warehouse demands. This role is the primary interface between RC USA and all transportation partners for the monitoring of carrier performance and ensuring the service needs of the network are delivered upon. Additionally, the position is accountable for the efficient management of all freight payment processes.

What are we looking for?

·  Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Supply Chain related fields OR 3-5 years direct experience in transportation industry related field.
·  CLTD or CSCP certification preferred

What would be your key responsibilities?

·  Primary liaison with the Factories, RC Distribution Centers, RC Supply Chain team, and RC USA Finance Department to ensure effective management of the RC USA Transportation network.
·  Monitor overall carrier performance (service, cost, process improvements) and escalate issues (as appropriate) to the Logistics Services Manager for resolution.
·  Provide operations perspective into overall carrier management strategy, including carrier incentive programs, seasonal capacity management.
·  Partner with Supply Chain Distribution Planners to ensure local capacity demand is satisfied.
·  Share long-term transportation needs with the Supply Chain Department, and participate in the development of a comprehensive transport management strategy
