Purpose: Responsibility for shift Packing and palletising to Include all quality and safety elements. Must become competent to operate all Packaging Lines.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

·  To run packaging Lines efficiently.
·  Complete all quality checks at the right time at the correct standards.
·  Ensure all quality results are recorded.
·  Work safely and report near misses as per company standard.
·  Change over between products safely, hygienically and effectively within prescribed time frame.
·  Ensure weekly cleaning is completed to required standards and time frame.
·  Minimise downtime and escalate any issue.
·  Ensure clear identification of products (labelling or stickers).
·  Stop or put product on hold in the case of a quality or safety deviation.
·  Follow the production plan.

NATURE AND SCOPE

Job Content:

SAFETY

·  All PPE must be worn in compliance with the Legal Royal Canin requirements
·  Ensure/ Respect the safety rules and the internal Policy
·  Stop any equipment /operative works / external company works if safety /environment protection / fire protection rules are broken.
·  Guarantee and apply OHSAS 18001 and all related working procedures.

ENVIROMENT

·  Guarantee and apply ISO 14001 (Environmental), and all related working procedures.
·  Ownership of environmental responsibilities

QUALITY & FOOD SAFETY

·  Guarantee and apply ISO 9001, 22000, Mars Standards, and all related working procedures.
·  Comply to the HACCP program in the department.

NATURE AND SCOPE

QUALITY & FOOD SAFETY

·  Comply to the GMP – GHP Standards
·  Inform the Shift Manager / Packaging Quality Coordinator of quality deviations according to product standards and production procedures.
·  Maintain CCP’s and oPRP’s in the department.
·  Perform CCP’s and oPRP’s according to SOP’s
·  Sample products to ensure quality control.
·  Report any pest activity to relate Manger.
·  Perform and record quality control tests.

HUMAN RESOURCES

·  Adhere to Multi - skill Policy
·  Training: attend any training program as scheduled by company management and train any designed person in the position.

MANAGEMENT AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Full knowledge and qualified on all packaging operations (Paper bag machines, plastic bag machines, sampling machine, On-Process , Check weigher , Inkjet, Labeller, wrappers, sifters, Scales, Quality control, packaging Material and Finished goods)
·  Work closely with the extruder operator in order to maintain the highest Efficiency of the plant for completion of the production planning
·  Set up Packaging machines
·  Operate packaging machines
·  Monitor packaging machines
·  Perform area related equipment first level maintenance
·  Monitor and reduce shrink waste
·  RCLMS or relevant data entry in the system.
·  Monitor final product silo’s
·  Assist in new product trials
·  Assist in Product review
·  Any task delegated by Manager

CLEANINESS AND TIDINESS

·  Perform housekeeping checks to ensure compliance to 5S
·  Perform operational cleaning
·  Change over cleaning
·  Weekly cleaning
·  Hypo Cleaning

COMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION

·  Provide any requested documentation to other departments according to internal rules
·  Shift Handover: communicate with co-worker of next shift about machine problems, progress on production plan, bin inventories and quality issues.
·  Complete production report with correct recording of downtime and quality issues.

·  Conscious, Self-Motivated, Team Player.
