Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, AC Hoteles S.A. - (Marriott International). The franchisee controls all aspects of the hotel's employment policies and practices, including the selection and hiring process. OBJECTIVE
To maximize revenues, market share and profit for the hotel in partnership with the Revenue team, the group sales department and hotel GM.
JOB PROFILE
· Strategic pricing
· Define pricing and yield guidelines for rates, room types, and customer segments
· Define the ideal business mix and channel mix strategy
· Design the short and long-term strategic plan
· Define overbooking and restriction strategy
· Defines Crew / transient / group optimal allotments
· Assists groups department in groups pricing strategy and key decisions
Budgeting & forecasting
· Builds revenue budget for the hotel
· Makes a weekly forecast and ensure corrective action to improve it
Daily revenue management optimization
· Reviews demand calendars, convention and city event calendars
· Set up the events & seasonality database as well as a rate strategy accordingly, in order to have best forecast accuracy & optimization and perform daily, weekly, monthly tasks for its maintenance
· Performs daily pick-up analysis, reviews yield system forecast and competition analysis and set strategy
· Effectively applies restrictions in line with set strategy in order to maximize profits.
· Performs demand & competition Analysis and follows all relevant developments of the market place, values impact of demand generators, notes changes in supply, behavior in feeder markets etc.
· Keeps up to date knowledge of main competitors, product knowledge, pricing, business mix, etc.
Communication
· Communicates strategic recommendations to key commercial stake holders, e.g. corporate revenue manager and GM, and ensures buy-in and commitment from all involved following the AC Hotels by Marriott policies and procedures
· Holds regular (weekly) sales strategy meetings with key stakeholders (GM, groups department, operations department..)
Reporting
· Keeps up to date the reporting to GM and key commercial stake holders (AC, Marriott..), month end analysis reports, benchmark reports, sales strategy meeting reports, etc.
The job incumbent should be commercially adept with a strong analytical mind, ability to translate diagnoses into strategies.
· Degree. Ideally mix of Hospitality Management and Economics/Statistics/Mathematics
· Knowledge of excel
· Knowledge of Marriott yield & inventory systems is a plus
· Knowledge of OPERA is a plus
· Proficient in English & Spanish language
· Minimum 3 years of experience as Revenue Manager in an urban hotel with similar mix.
