The Sheraton Suites Galleria-Atlanta is currently accepting applications for a detail-driven, service minded individual for the Night Audit position! Your success will be measured by your ability to:
· Perform audit and balancing procedures to insure all revenues, adjustments, and miscellaneous transactions are properly posted to appropriate ledger accounts.
· Lead in Front Office operations during scheduled shift.
Other Essential Functions Include:
· Audit and balance all food and beverage outlet charges with point of sale report, distribute revenues based on meal periods and profit center. File food and beverage guest checks.
· Review room and tax report for accuracy of room rates and initiate computer program to process room and tax charges after rate corrections have been made.
· Balance all cashier shift reports and review supporting documentation for procedural compliance.
· Prepare all audit reports and spreadsheets as required by the Night Audit Checklist.
· Batch process all credit cards through draft capture, including food and beverage charges.
· Assist with Front Office operations as needed.
· Execute computer file tape backup procedures and applicable PMS system audit functions and reports.
· Distribute and file all audit final reports generated by the property management system.
Job Requirements include:
· Able to work nights form 11pm to 7am the next morning
· Possess the ability to learn a hotel management system.
· Possess organizational skills for handling multiple tasks accurately and fast in a timely manner
· Ability to communicate effectively with department managers and the hotel’s clients.
· Possess a general understanding of hotel operational activity and accounting process.
· Possess a thorough knowledge and ability to perform all Night Audit functions.
· Ability to analyze transactions and resolve discrepancies in the general ledger, cash ledger, and city ledger.
· Possess a basic understanding of computer operations to produce spreadsheets, databases, and word processing documents.
· Must possess a positive, professional, and pleasant attitude and standard of dress.
· Ability to accomplish tasks with little or no supervision.
· Possess a strong attention to detail.
· Possess superior time management and organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, often under high pressure and strict deadlines.
