Oeno Wine Bar Trendy and accessible, Oeno is an impressive bar that caters for a wide range of clientele. The space is narrow and high, divided into two levels with an impressive and elegant stainless steel and glass stairway that leads to the upper floor

To one side of the bar is a glass-walled anteroom dedicated to guided wine tasting through the extensive selection of wines available. Directly opposite is a cold room displaying a dazzling array of cheeses ranging from the well known Roquefort and Cheddars to soft goat's cheeses flavoured with lavender and juniper berries, washed rinds, blue moulds, Parmesans and pecorinos, originating from across the globe.

Oeno also features a handsome liquor selection ranging from the rare, aged, and extra premium rum Ron Maximo Añejo to the prestigious Louis XIII cognac, any of which would make for a memorable evening when paired with one of our of hand rolled cigars selection sourced from Cuba and other Caribbean islands.

Job responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:

· Supervision and direction of Bartenders and Waiters.

· Trains new joiners according to Oeno Bar training standards

· Supports and assist the team when necessary

· Ensures all opening and closing procedures ( including but not limited to the set up and break down of stations, clearing and re-setting up of tables and checking tables before service ) are adhered to.

· Ensures the overall cleanliness of assigned station and the establishment.

· Oversees cash/credit handling and POS procedures in accordance with Company policies and procedures of the team.

· Up sells food and beverage menu items, maximizing profit wherever possible.

· Provides friendly, courteous and professional service to all internal and external customers/guests, at all times.

· Retains and maintains complete knowledge of all food and beverage menu items.

· Performs all duties in adherence to all company standards.

· Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule and late hours when necessary.

· To assist with monitoring and reordering any stores items, minimizing where possible to avoid over expenditure

· To check back with the clients any comments should be forwarded to the Bar Manager

· To attend departmental communication meetings, trainings sessions and to ensure that all staff operates in line with the instructions received

· To conduct a briefing and to pass all the information needed to the staff, assign stations, explain the menu, any special requirements.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

To move into this position you should have

· Tenure in current position minimum one year

· Minimum 2 years experience in the relevant area of a 5* Property

· Must have completed the supervisory skills training and train the trainer courses

· An outstanding beverage knowledge,

· Formal training on wine, cigars, teas, up-selling techniques, silver service, cocktails and any other related courses

· Thorough knowledge of Food & Beverage (Cocktails / Mocktails / Alcoholic Beverage, etc.)

· Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management would be highly regarded.

· Proficiency in computer (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and Micros

· Good interpersonal skills

· Smart in appearance and well groomed

· Multiple language ability, an advantage

· To possess excellent communication skills both written & verbal

· Excellent customer service skills and creative flair.

· Worked in a High Operation with high turnover
