Job Description

responsibilities range from workforce planning and headcount management to
demand and supply management for client engagements.

performance but also plays a key role in helping individuals at KPMG fulfil
their career ambitions.

The Role

The individual will be responsible for resourcing across our Lower Gulf
Advisory practice, which covers UAE & Oman. You will be working within a
team based in Dubai, supporting the Advisory Resourcing Manager.

A key element of your role will be to provide
professional Resource Management service to our Deals, Consulting & Risk
Management competency groups ensuring efficient and effective utilisation of
our resources. This will be carried out through building excellent knowledge of
the business and skill sets of staff in order to service our clients &
business stakeholders in a proficient manner. As a resource planner you will
have responsibility for the end-to-end resourcing process across specific
competency groups within our Advisory service line. This will involve the
proactive management of ad hoc resourcing requests and facilitating solutions
to resourcing shortfalls.


Responsibilities



Responsible for managing resource management delivery of the
business unit with support of the Resource Manager.


Work closely with Competency Leaders to ensure effective use of
staff through cross competency planning/resource management, including sharing
staff across geographies during times of stretch in particular locations and
that appropriate responses are made to free up staff for new work.


Working closely with managers and senior managers within the
department to understand the resourcing requirements for their individual clients.


Support the Resourcing Manager with process around shortfalls, within
the competencies you will handle - understand where the clashes are and how
they can be resolved; challenge the requirements - staffing, timing etc.
Proactively look for solutions by moving bookings around but still achieving
appropriate level of support for our clients.


Take responsibility for managing staffing bookings in Advisory,
using our scheduling system, to ensure that it accurately reflects our current
resourcing positions and that is it is up to date at all times.


Lead weekly staffing meetings in Dubai / Abu Dhabi with Manager
and Director groups, discussing pipeline of work, staffing for new engagements
and flagging available staff. You will also meet with Engagement
Managers/Leaders on a one to one basis to ensure client needs on each client
are covered.


Review holiday requests in conjunction with the agreed upon
policy. Analyse sickness/absence levels within the department as well as timesheet
submissions and challenge where appropriate.


Prepare relevant resource management information and position
solutions to aid resourcing decisions across Advisory.


Promote and maximise the off-shore capability groups to leverage
profitability on engagements with KGS.


Understand future pipeline and the implications these have on
resource needs, to ensure a proactive and forward looking approach to
resourcing of client needs.


Facilitating the continuous improvement of resource management
processes and procedures by proactively supporting on ad-hoc projects as
required.

The Individual

The successful candidate is likely to have/be able to demonstrate:


Experience in a resource management environment is desirable but
not essential


Recruitment or Business Operations background is desirable


Strong excel skills is mandatory (pivots, tables, formulas etc.)


Confident analysing data & Management Information


Proficient using Microsoft PowerPoint


Previous use of enterprise internal systems (i.e. HR systems, reporting
systems, scheduling systems)


Excellent relationship management and communications skills by
demonstrating the ability to build strong relationships with all levels of
staff.


Resilient and capable of working in a challenging, continuously
changing environment.


Confident, assertive and have the ability to prioritise and
manage your own workload


Willingness to travel when required between Dubai and Abu Dhabi
