KPMG is currently seeking an Associate, Bankruptcy Retention and Billing to join our Finance and Accounting organization.

Responsibilities:

·  Create monthly, interim and final fee applications for engagement teams whose clients have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection
·  Collaborate with engagement teams to provide essential data in order to be compensated in bankruptcy court
·  Provide detailed responses with corresponding spreadsheets to address and support compensation during the bankruptcy period to assigned Fee Examiners who have been hired by the court to review professionals' compensation
·  Prepare analysis of potential issues to concisely summarize KPMG's role and tasks completed during the compensation period
·  Maintain current knowledge of bankruptcy matters both via news and by reviewing bankruptcy docket information in order to communicate vital information to partners regarding their clients

Qualifications:

·  Minimum three years in accounting or financial services experience; preferably within a professional services firm or similar environment; experience in bankruptcy support is preferred
·  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience
·  Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint and Outlook with intermediate skill level in Excel
·  Excellent communication skills with strong time management and planning skills
·  Detail oriented and possessing strong analytical skills to work on multiple concurrent projects
