KPMG SGA is the in-house team of Chartered Building Surveyors, Environmental Scientists and Building Certifiers with full service teams in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth plus representatives offices in Auckland and Singapore. Focusing primarily on commercial property: office, retail, industrial, hotels it also is well represented across other sub groups. At present we have an opportunity for an Environmental Consultant to join our Brisbane office.

Your new role:
This position gives you the responsibility to undertake, manage and lead contaminated land and hazardous building material projects, without being pigeon-holed into a dead end position. As part of this position you will:
·  Lead contaminated land and hazardous building material projects including Preliminary and Detailed Environmental Site Investigations, Remedial Action Plans, Validation Reports and Hazardous Building Material Assessments.
·  Liaise with a variety of stakeholders including clients, sub-contractors, authorities and colleagues. You bring to the role:

The ideal candidate would have 2-5 years of relevant experience in environmental assessment, focussed on contaminated land, ideally with some hazardous building materials identification experience. You will have:
·  An environmental or science-based degree (environmental science, geology, soil science, chemistry, or equivalent)
·  Demonstrated project and people management skills.
·  Highly competent report writing skills.
·  Demonstrated skills in field sampling techniques.
·  Team leadership skills.
