Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our dynamic and fast-paced team providing best in class customer solutions for our new H3G contract.

Your Role

The successful candidate will report into the Operations Manager, and will be responsible for ensuring that all the warehouse-based activity is completed in a timely and accurate manner, constantly achieving departmental KPIs

Your Responsibilities

·  Allocate resource for each work area. Determine over / under capacity of work areas and allocate / escalate accordingly on a daily / weekly basis in line with forecasts
·  Review and interpret information on KPI boards and redeploy resource to meet operational needs. Responsible for meeting cost performance targets
·  Ensure accurate effective team briefs are carried out
·  Develop effective plans to ensure departments are fully trained to meet all SLAs
·  Conduct regular reviews of training plans to ensure they are fit for purpose and any refresher training is identified and planned for
·  Responsible for updating ABC training modules to reflect current methods of working and ensure compliance of the change control process
·  Respond to customer queries and requests in a professional and timely manner and carry out route cause analysis where required
·  Manage all people processes including performance management, time and attendance, conduct issues which includes the carrying out of formal investigations, disciplinary hearings and the hearing of grievances. Conduct team reviews and appraisals in line with company standard contributing to the site succession plans
·  Ensure accident and incident investigations are carried out in a timely fashion and escalated as appropriate. Report any H&S issues to line manager, carrying out the appropriate investigations and implementing corrective measures as required

Your Skills and Experiences

·  Communication skills –  verbal and non verbal
·  Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office Applications
·  Good knowledge of creating and maintaining spreadsheets
·  Ability of interpreting data
·  Experience of managing small teams
·  Understanding of KPIs
·  Strong customer service skills
·  Experience of managing all people processes through the lifecycle  of an employee including Recruitment & Selection, Appraisal, Performance Management, Disciplinary and Grievance
