Warehouse Operator

Job description

Assist in all areas of the warehouse as and when required to meet daily operational needs.

Your Role

To always handle the customer’s products with care when picking to ensure good customer relations and also to identify weaknesses in the procedure and to suggest improvements.

Your Responsibilities

·  To receive and put away goods following the correct procedure to ensure accuracy and safety
·  MHE duties (once passed in-house training)
·  Constantly challenging one’s own work-place and suggesting process and organization improvements to supervisor
·  To take responsibility for your own accurate work, meeting and challenging the productivity targets
·  To support and encourage team ethics and values within your working environment
·  To follow the QSHE guidelines and working instructions for all daily tasks and not put others at risk by taking short cuts in a procedure
·  To clean as you go to maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping in the working environment at all times
·  To participate regularly on the job and refresher training when required
·  To report all incidents, hazards and unsafe practices in the working environment to the Management team in a timely manner as per the relevant working instructions
·  To report any accidental damage done to MHE, stock or the building during the working day to the Management team in a timely manner
·  The Objectives which are laid out in the above documentation are not exhaustive and you will be required to act wholeheartedly in the interests of the company, as such you will be required to perform any reasonable duties or tasks of  which the Management requests

Your Skills and Experiences

·  High School / Diploma
·  Load Restraint Certification Forklift Licenses and experience in using forklifts in warehouse environment
·  Relevant skill and warehouse process qualifications as an advantage
·  Should have more than 1 year experience in the same position
·  Manual Handling Experience
·  Experience in picking, packing, loading and unloading activities
·  Ability to work to tight deadlines with high accuracy Good understanding of warehouse process
