Warehouse Forklift Operator

Job description

The Warehouse Forklift Operator is responsible for moving materials within the warehouse and the loading/unloading of materials onto or from vehicles utilizing a forklift, reach-truck, order picker, pallet jack or other heavy material handling equipment as required.

Your Role

The Warehouse Forklift Operator is responsible for moving materials within the warehouse and the loading/unloading of materials onto or from vehicles utilizing a forklift, reach-truck, order picker, pallet jack or other heavy material handling equipment as required.

Your Responsibilities

·  Operates Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to load/unload incoming/outgoing product
·  Receiving goods to ensure accuracy
·  Order picking of products to ensure accuracy
·  Assist in all areas as and when required to meet operational needs
·  Verifies and receives product into inventory
·  Inventories packages for storage or transit
·  Palletizes and shrink-wraps product
·  Receives, checks and stores product
·  Stacks pallets
·  Moves and stores product within the warehouse utilizing MHE
·  Picks, verifies and packs order according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)\
·  References to pick sheet to pull product or supplies
·  Verifies orders against pull sheets
·  Adheres to Local, State, and Federal regulations inclusive, but not limited, to OSHA, EPA and other government agencies
·  May be required to lift up to 50lbs

Your Skills and Experiences

EDUCATION
-Basic Math Skills
-High School Diploma
-Forklift Licenses and experience in using forklifts in warehouse environment
-Fluency in Common Business Language- English

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
-(2) year experience in Material Handling Equipment in a warehouse environment
-Experience in picking, packing, loading and unloading activities
-Ability to work tight deadlines with high accuracy
-Ability to follow instructions
