In our Contract Logistics branch we provide internal logistics services to our customers with high added value. Our teams develop, implement and optimize our complex, high quality logistics solutions.

As the Solution Engineering Manager you will be managing the Solutions Engineering team in retaining, growing and developing the business across all activity Verticals.

You and your Team will support the Sales and Operations teams in different phases of the solution design through the provision of technical logistics solutions.

Your tasks and responsibilities

·  Leadership: Day to day management of the Solutions Engineers and through the Performance Planning & Ratings process, the delivery of department objectives and the Engineers' personal development. Management of the solutions engineering team in tendering for new business/re-tendering for existing business to ensure an output of quality, timely robust solutions that are developed within an agreed process
·  Managing Performance: Analysing existing operations and providing improvement recommendations for existing customer solutions. Participation in realisation and implementation of Continuous Improvement solutions
·  Internal communication: Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to obtain inputs into the solutions design process and to support sign off for the outputs
·  Offers calculation: For high profile and/or complex proposals, managing the Solutions development process from data collection/extraction, through modelling (incl. storage techniques, equipment evaluation, layout and process planning), resourcing, costing and documenting/presenting
·  Customer Orientation: He is responsible for the communication with the existing clients: Contract management, Monthly meetings, Workshops and renewal support
·  Standards and Guidelines: Keeping abreast with developments in logistics within the functional area of expertise and ensuring that best practice is spread and utilised across the department, developing of department standards

Your skills and experience

·  Bachelor or Masters level Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or similar
·  At least 2 years of experience working in any of the specified logistics services verticals across a variety of projects/sites/customers
·  At least 6 years of experience working in logistics and supply chain operational and solutions engineering management in an international environment
·  Business case development and pricing skills, in a complex environment
·  Very well developed solutions design, analytical and process design skills, understanding and solving complex problems
·  Business fluent in English
