Your Role

In this role, you will solve, coordinate, and organize logistics matters to the satisfaction of our Marine logistics solutions clients. This is a dynamic and multimodal role meaning you will interact with different logistics sectors, as such the ideal candidate will have experience from multiple logistics industries. As a team, the Customer Care Experts for Marine Logistics solutions are responsible for the direct interaction with our customers, proactive customer service, and problem-solving. As a Customer Care Expert you will be an important part of Marine Logistics Customer Care team within the Customer Care Location. As the Customer Care Expert one of your primary goals will be to ensure that our customer's experience is a positive one — every time they engage with Kuehne + Nagel.

Your Responsibilities

·  Ensure service excellence by leveraging a high level of forwarding and Marine Logistics market knowledge and ensuring all requests are carried out to the pre-set service levels and standard procedures
·  Secure high quality on client transport according to frame contract, targets and operational potential. In close cooperation with internal and external stake holders define opportunities to develop the future operations
·  Monitor customer shipments to provide proactive updates to customers and problem solve (by collaborating with other stakeholders)
·  Document, investigate, and conduct root cause analysis on any deviations using Kuehne+Nagel internal professional systems
·  Create, refine, and review reports as needed including conducting performance analysis with K+N Systems and conduct claims management, from reporting through to closure
·  Qualification of customer inquiries, provision of quotations within corporate guidelines for pricing, up-selling, and follow up; field complaint calls and provide problem resolution in alignment with stakeholders and ensure the smooth on-boarding of new customers.
·  Create, refine, and review reports as needed including conducting performance analysis with K+N Systems and conduct claims management, from reporting through to closure.
·  Ensure compliance with company, industry, and legal standards are adhered to across the function; this incorporates Quality, Security, Health & Safety and Environment standards

Your Skills and Experiences

·  Previous experience / understanding of Marine Logistics Solutions is an advantage
·  Experience in Logistics Operations or from marine purchasing
·  Experience with from a multi modal or Customer Care position in a Logistics setting
·  Strong customer service orientation and an ability to communicate effectively and confidently and with an approachable and empathic nature 
·  Excellent organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to problem-solve
·  Strong affinity with required customer quality standards and able to work on own initiative as well as building strong relationships and collaborating with the team
