Job description

The Business Intelligence Analyst will be part of the International Supply Chain (ISC) group at K&N. The purpose of ISC is to provide End to End logistics services and supply chain visibility for international customers.

Your Role

The Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for creation of reports, data analytics and recommending BI best practices. Report requests will focus on standard report creation, customer reporting needs and internal DQ type reporting.

Your Responsibilities

·  Creation of reports using Tableau and Business Objects as BI tools.
·  Gather report requirements from internal or external customer requirements.
·  Provide BI insights by creating reports with excellent visual designs.
·  Create and analyze detailed specifications for reports in compliance with KN ISC methodologies.
·  Support ISC Program Management team with problem-solving and investigative research, report development, and system support around Customer Business Reporting.
·  Support new account and existing account implementations from a BI Systems/Operations perspective.
·  Some Travel possible (<10% anticipated).
·  Pro-actively & continuously seek to improve the quality of our Business Intelligence offering.
·  Identify training opportunity areas for BI end users and potentially lead some training sessions.
·  Contribute to the creation of standard reporting packages.
·  Able to work overtime or participate in occasional evening calls with Asia if/when needed.

Your Skills and Experiences

·  Fluent in the English language.
·  Bachelor's degree or higher; Field of IT, Logistics, Analytics or related field preferred.   
·  2 Years Relevant Experience in comparable Supply Chain Analytical Reporting Role.
·  Very strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
·  Experience creating reports using Tableau and/or Business Objects is preferred, but other BI tools can be considered.
·  Ability to work with large amounts of data and information and see the ‘bigger picture’.
·  Critical thinking: able to look at numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings.
·  Advanced usage of all Microsoft Office products-  MS Excel advanced functions in particular
·  Prefer understanding of International shipping and related EDI processes.
·  Creativity, organizational skills, problem solving, and prioritization of requests against firm deadlines.
