The Opportunity 

The Paralegal, Contracts (JLL Tech) role primarily will be responsible to support JLL Technologies business lines, for intake and review of client contracts and in various other duties as assigned.  The candidate should have a strong familiarity with software and technology agreements.  The position is full-time based at our Chicago, IL headquarters and reports directly to JLL’s Senior Counsel of Global Digital Solutions within JLL Technology.

The Responsibilities 
Contracts
•    Review statements of work, confirming standard JLL language is included in customer template agreement. 
•    Review nondisclosure agreements and provide appropriate mark ups per JLL standards.
•    Exercise good commercial judgment to understand business needs and provide appropriate and responsive legal support
•    Load agreements into CRE System (Salesforce) with the appropriate abstract information.
•    Manage contract approval process through CRM system (Salesforce), maintain updated customer agreement and conduct audits / updates 
•    Approve new projects in Salesforce that require legal escalation 
•    Support RFP responses, and follow up with appropriate internal teams
•    Use JLL technology addendum to draft amendment for renewals for specific tech business lines.
•    Act as internal clients’ trusted colleague who coordinates with respect to commercial contracting, compliance, contractual disputes, and best practices
•    Enhance and support the department’s technology solutions and knowledge management efforts 
•    Support other Legal Groups as necessary

General 
•    Legal administrative support for global expansion of our technology business lines.
•    General corporate legal work as necessary from time to time

Qualifications required include:
•    An ABA paralegal certificate or equivalent
•    2-3 years of contract review experience
•    Technology / software legal support experience preferred
•    Experience with Salesforce, Box, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and digital signing service like DocuSign or Adobe Sign.
•    In-House Legal experience a plus
