Job Role

Opportunity to work in a market leading UK based retail investment team predominantly focusing on the UK Shopping Centre and Retail Warehouse markets. The role will involve working across a varied range of assets, acquiring and disposing on both a single asset and a portfolio basis. Opportunity to gain a diverse and broad experience working across multiple business lines due to a strong emphasis on redevelopment and repurposing of under-utilised destinations to maximise value.

Retail Capital Markets work with a broad range of clients and the candidate would support lead directors within the team with sourcing, underwriting, valuing and deal execution.

Responsibilities

To assist with the financial analysis and regular financial reporting to support Retail Capital Markets. Assist with presenting financial information to enable clients to make informed decisions on commercial real estate opportunities.

 

·  Support the team with the full underwriting process - including reporting, production of marketing material and financial analysis
·  Responsible for the delivery of timely financial analysis, cash flow and sensitivity analysis
·  Effective communication of outcomes and development of summary analysis sheet tailored to client requirements
·  Take ownership of Excel tools used by the team, streamlining the analytical process and ensuring the quality of analysis produced
·  Responsible for preparing internal financial reports and variance analysis, and presenting financial information to the business line managers and office market teams

Skills

·  An analytical mind with the ability to understand JLL and its clients' businesses, and to assist in implementing strategic property advice for clients
·  Strong Excel modelling skills, including an understanding of financial functions (NPV and IRR), IF functions and ability to construct pivot tables
·  Strong communications skills and assured presenter
·  Confident working within a team environment
·  Attention to detail
·  A proactive approach to work

Experience

·  Previous experience in a similar role
·  Knowledge
·  Degree qualified
·  Degree in real estate, economics or finance preferred, but not essential.
·  Post-graduate (MSc, MBA) or professional qualifications (ACCA, CFA, CIMA) are desirable but not essential
·  Understanding or demonstrable interest in the property industry
