Facilities Engineering Internship - JLL: Boston MA (Brigham Circle)

Facilities Engineering Coop / Intern Student Job Description

The Intern will assist the JLL Site Engineer with the following work:

·  Update building utility infrastructure operating instructions.
·  Create lists of new equipment and collect name plate date for equipment not entered in the buildings Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
·  Update Business Continuity Plan (BCP) documents to reflect changes to critical facility infrastructure.
·  Consolidate and organize electrical, mechanical, automation and fire protection drawings for recent and ongoing capital project renovations.
·  Field walk building systems and equipment to update VFA tool used for the building’s utility infrastructure Long Range Preventative Maintenance (LRPM) program.
·  Complete safety inspection walks to identify potential unsafe conditions.
·  Inventory and create lists of equipment spare parts to incorporate the spares in the CMMS.
·  Trace utility systems and create system diagrams.
·  Locate and update fire and smoke damper locations.
·  Organize original building construction documents and dispose of obsolete documents.

While assisting with the above tasks, the student will need to interact with JLL and client facility management, project management, administrative, engineering and trade personnel which will raise their visibility and impress on the student the importance of the work they are undertaking.
