Job Description

​We are looking for an experienced debug engineer to come join our Client SSD Validation team and help us evolve our handling of issues to a deeper level with faster throughput. You will debug issues found in system integration testing Compatibility, Feature, and Functional coverage at the SSD product level found during Client SSD product testing. You will learn and use bus analyzers and exercises to promote issues from pre-sighting to sighting, as well as root causing and/or resolving product sightings. You will learn and use a broad understanding of PC storage technologies to help us assess product health/risk from Si arrival through post-PRQ.​

Non-Volatile Solutions Memory Group: The Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group is a worldwide organization that delivers NAND flash memory products for use in Solid State Drives (SSDs), portable memory storage devices, digital camera memory cards, and other devices. The group is responsible for NVM technology design and development, complete Solid State Drive (SSD) system hardware and firmware development, as well as wafer and SSD manufacturing.

Desired profile

Qualifications

-Must have a BS in CS/CE/EE plus 5 years or more of Platform Engineering or Storage industry experience.
-3 years Debugging product and test issues at the System level in a post-Si environment.
-Fundamental knowledge of PCI-E interface (NVMe protocol beneficial), prefer someone that has captured and analyzed PCI-E traces.
-Able to provide technical direction to Execution/debug Technicians, as well as able to work with Principle engineers in resolving key issues.
-A passion for learning new technologies/architectures and solving problems in a team environment.
-Prefer someone that is very familiar with the latest PC platforms technologies.

- Fundamental knowledge of storage driver stack in Windows and Linux operating systems.

-Familiarity with FLASH memory concepts would be beneficial.

- Strong Python automation skills and C programing

-Experience in Git or other version control systems and Development and Debug in both Linux and Windows environments

-Strong communication skills with ability to clearly articulate issues and provide high level summaries is required.

-Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
