Job Description: Conduct or participate in multidisciplinary research and collaborate with design, layout and/or hardware engineers in the design, development, and utilization of productivity enhancement layout tools and design rule checkers, electronic data processing systems software. Determines computer user needs, advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements, designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgement and formal software process.Platform Analysis Center is responsible for power and performance analysis and projection on competitive products in all segments (from IoT to Xeon servers). Power analysis engineer will be responsible for platform power measurements under various configurations and performance modes on a variety of products. They will have to do system bring up, configuration settings for power measurements and do workload characterization on specific platforms.

Desired profile

Required:- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Engineering.- Understanding of platform level system architecture and/or micro-architecture for processor, SOC, Servers, FPGA and Xeon Phi.- Ability to use software tools to measure power.- Hardware power behavior and power analysis.- Good documentation, Excel and communication skills.- Ability to work individually and as a Team.- Self Motivated, disciplined, professional and good work ethics.Preferred Skills:- Post silicon power measurements, validation and analysis is a plus.- Familiarity to system level workload behavior is preferred. - Excellent data analysis and problem solving skills is a must
