In this position, you will be responsible for supporting Printed Circuit Board development teams with the layout of motherboard and system board designs. This will include keeping CREO files updated with connector locations, heat sinks, and mechanical keep out areas.

The position will also require designing rack mount and pedestal server enclosures using CREO software. The designs will need to be developed from prototype to soft tooling.

Mechanical team members need to interface to electrical board development teams, power teams, and validation teams to ensure the systems meet Intel's requirements. It is required to understand thermal design requirements, detailed tolerance analysis, and how system and motherboards interface to chassis and are connected by cables.

You are expected to commit to program schedule requirements and keep the schedules through the development phases. Ability to follow processes to collect system data and write reports is also required.

Mechanical Engineers research, design, and develop mechanical and electro-mechanical devices or systems.

Responsibilities include development of system concepts, conducting design previews, performing system acceptance, and resolving design and implementation issues. Responds to customer and/or client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment.

Qualifications

You must possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with five years' experience or a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with three years' experience.

Additional Qualifications Include:

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Good teamwork skills and be responsive to customer's needs.

- Skill in preparation of project related documentation/slides using standard office tools such as Microsoft Word*, Excel* and PowerPoint*

- Ability to communicate in English.
