We are currently recruiting for Training and Orientation Coordinator. If you are on top of your profession and possess the following key skills, we invite you to apply to our opening.

Your Role and Responsibilities

This is a key role within the CIC, to support the orientation and training of approximately 700 IT professionals. Your work will include a combination of administrative work and classroom facilitation.

The Training and Orientation coordinator works closely with the Learning and Development Manager, the leadership team and recruitment team to enable new hires, offer training in tools and processes, and prepare resources (accesses, accounts and equipment) for their arrival.

Our Onboarding team is focused on delivering a signature, WOW, experience for our new hires. You are the first point of contact for a new hire through their first weeks in IBM. You are responsible for preparing the new hire for their IBM career and ensure that everything is ready for their arrival at IBM on day 1. You will also support them through their first week while ensuring the manager is prepared to receive their newest IBMer.

You will also be a key member of the training team, supporting training activities both in and out of the classroom. You enjoy helping people meet their professional development goals, and will work with various data sources and stakeholders to enable learning activities.

Additional responsibilities include:

Onboarding and new hire supprt

·  Be the first point of contact for new employee through onboarding
·  Coordinate requests and delivery of all provisioning items by new hire's start date
·  Co-facilitate New2Blue Essentials' classes along with Learning Facilitator
·  Welcome new employees, facilitate paperwork completion and processing, accountability in understanding current IBM business/structure/strategy/ news
·  Ensure employee data collected at onboarding stage reaches HR system(s) in a timely mann
·  Plan and deliver Extended Onboarding on a monthly basis (or as-needed in slow hiring periods)
·  Develop and maintain a network of other IBMers who support the onboarding process
·  Liaise with other departments to maintain current, relevant onboarding content
·  Process access to supplementary training including external and internal resources such as the SAP learning hub and the Associate Learning portal
·  Maintain and support the Blue buddy program: Work with practice areas to keep up-to-date contacts; communicate with Blue Buddies when new hires are arriving; supervise the program by making sure the relationships are being established and Blue Buddies are able to meet their obligations to support new hires
·  Slack channel maintenance: Create channels and add new hires to a channel; Populate the channels with relevant onboarding content; Monitor the channels for ongoing questions and concerns, and to support the development of community.
·  Support for ongoing questions and concerns, technical and procedural
·  Maintain Onboarding website: create and maintain content
·  Participate in deployment of new Associate onboarding program, including teaching some classes and supporting delivery logistics
Training planning
·  Work with the Training Manager to plan and execute local training delivery
·  Maintain local training calendar
·  Website creation and maintenance for training schedule and FAQ (IBM publisher)
·  Establish and maintain an interest list of classroom training for CIC staff
Training delivery:
·  Deliver classroom content associated with new hires
·  Co-facilitate Professional Development (PDE) classes, e.g., Global Blue Consulting, Core Capabilities Fundamentals
·  Be available to acquire new facilitation topics and classes as required

Support for CIC training function:
·  Build and maintain classlists, from initial planning through tracking of completions
·  Notify learners of training schedules and requirements, ensure proper communication and planning with teams around class attendance
·  Work with Training Manager, other NA Learning & Knowledge resources, and Event Management Team to process information regarding local training activity (e.g., submitting class lists for Think40 credit, support planning with external instructors and vendors)
·  Manage Lunch and Learn and Bagel Friday programs: identify topics and instructors; publicize sessions; manage logistics of delivery
·  With the Training Manager's supervision, respond to and approve EVITA (External Vendor and Individual Training Approval) request
·  Maintain record keeping for EVITAs
·  Respond to training inquiries from CIC staff; build the internal knowledge to help staff access training opportunities
·  Manage STEM outreach activities, including event design and delivery, and volunteer coordination
Requirements:
·  Experience in similar function in a fast paced and deadline oriented environment.
·  Demonstrated experience in comfortably presenting to an audience of up to 20 people. Classroom facilitation experience/adult education preferred.
·  Ability to organize and prioritize projects in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented and rapidly changing business environment
·  Track record of delivering and being productive in a team environment with a high sense of commitment
·  Ability to learn new things quickly and help others navigate through complex processes
·  Ability to establish and manage processes to support training management, and to learn existing processes and tools
·  Openness and willingness to get involved and assist even though ‘it's not your job'
·  A personal commitment to the value of lifelong learning for professional success
