Job description
This Software Developer Summer Internship provides a unique opportunity to evaluate a career in application development. It allows interns to apply critical thinking skills and programming expertise and to learn the technical aspects of the development and maintenance of health care decision support analytic tools. As a member of the development team, you will be working with a team of highly skilled application developers on an exciting, challenging, and high-profile project. You will be working in a high-performance environment where cross-team learning, and collaboration is strongly cultivated.
Responsibilities :
· Design, develop, test, document, and maintain application software.
· Estimate and plan development work, track and report on task progress, and deliver work on schedule.
· Document coding and design activities necessary for the proper installation, maintenance and operation of the software.
· Work within a structured team environment that includes agile development practices, version control, automated unit testing, continuous integration, technical documentation, design reviews, and other commercial development techniques.
· Work on special projects.
· Attend relevant staff development activities.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
· Must be currently enrolled in university program seeking computer science, mathematics, or similar degree.
· Have completed coursework in Java Programming, Data Structures, and Algorithms.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to multi-task; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· In good academic standing.
· Strong typing skills.
· Available to work full-time.
