Job description

Your unique skills, experience and innovation will drive the design, development and implementation of modern solutions to enable secure remote access and network inter-connectivity at a global scale. You will team with a Research Triangle Park, NC based, multi-disciplinary, Agile team that provides a unique opportunity to apply and grow your skills in enterprise security engineering, network security and software development. You will craft global-scale security architectures and processes, using leading edge technologies and techniques, to defend our enterprise from internal and external network threats. You will drive process and security efficiency and efficacy through the innovative application of analytics and automation.

You will be responsible for the following:
·  Analyze business and security requirements to provide risk-appropriate levels of security to various network inter-connectivity and remote access scenarios.
·  Apply modern methodologies and techniques to enable enhanced connectivity and capabilities aligned with policies, standards and industry best practices.
·  Develop security architectures, management processes and system components required to meet user needs.
·  Implement, integrate and automate the internet, extranet and remote access solutions.
·  Translate required business requirements, security capabilities and acceptable organizational risk levels into technical requirements.
·  Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure projects remain on target. Skills and Abilities:
·  Apply expert knowledge of remote access and inter-connectivity technology, security concepts and functions.
·  Apply in-depth knowledge of network protocols and concepts related to the associated security capabilities.
·  Apply knowledge of identity technologies, systems and their capabilities.
·  Coordinate with security stakeholders on a range of security related issues (e.g. establishing system boundaries, available and required security capabilities, developing security profiles, identifying and addressing gaps, preparing plans of action and milestones).
·  Maintain and apply knowledge of emerging network security technologies, risks, and vulnerabilities.
·  Apply programming languages and scripting to new or existing processes.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

We believe you are a good fit for this role if you are someone that can identify and implement optimal solutions to remote access and network inter-connectivity requirements, pro-actively identify and address risk, elaborate and communicate technical topics to a wide variety of audiences, and who is adaptable in the face of changing priorities. From a technical expertise perspective, you will succeed in this job if you have 5 year(s) of experience in:
·  Network and information security including hands-on experience with network security topics such as; VPNs, IPSec, access proxies, firewalls, security zones, cloud environments, and common network protocols such as HTTP, TLS, SSH, DNS, DHCP and SNMP.
·  Design, implementation and support of secure remote access solutions.
·  Network security design including extranet, intranet and Internet.
