Business Controls Analyst (Co-Op)

Job description



We are currently seeking to fill a co-op position in IBM Accounts Payable / Procurement. This is a part-time role, 10 hours per week that begins in January and ends late June. The work schedule will be set based on your school commitments and IBM's business needs. You will be immersed in the operations of your assigned area and exposed to many of the basic functions of the company so you will gain an understanding of the business and what makes it work. You will be expected to:

- Analyze and record data for the following: Control points, electronic payments, paper check distribution, paid on time invoices, reconciliations, and Sarbanes Oxley defects

- Assist management in setting up and preparing for special project presentations

- Audit global delivery centers and business unit processes to ensure audit readiness and compliance with company policies

- Compile monthly measurements and key indicator trending data for upper management

- Interact with the different Global Accounts Payable centers (Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Latin America, and North America) to confirm and update various reports as needed

- Prepare weekly business data analytic reports used to analyze risky supplier activity
