Automation Engineer – St Leonards (Sydney)

What will I be doing:
As the Automation Engineer you will work closely with the development team to effectively deliver a highly available, robust, and flexible platform and automation content, leveraging tools to facilitate the software development process along with customer and business requirements and objectives.
Involved in the delivery of automation assets, BMC Bladelogic packages, BMC Atrium Orchestrator workflows, scripts in various languages and configuration management toolings.
My skills will include:
· Advanced scripting skills; Chef, Ansible, Ruby, Powershell, etc
· Advanced knowledge of Configuration Management tools, particularly Chef and Bladelogic
· Advanced knowledge of Business Processes and Automation
· Ability to create and work with existing with REST and SOAP API's
· Advanced knowledge of Windows and/or Unix systems
· Worked in Agile teams and Environments
· Takes initiative and willing to learn new technologies My experience will include :
· Advanced scripting skills: Powershell, BASH, XSLT, Chef, Ansible, NSH
· Experienced with cloud management platforms (vRA, ICO, K8s, BSA);
· Developed and Supported infrastructure automation for Virtualised Environments.
· Understanding and Practiced DevOps Methodologies
· Experienced with Large scale enterprise business systems and virtualisation technologies.
· Working Knowledge of IBM Cloud/AWS/Azure/AzureStack
My qualifications will include:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer science / software development or equivalent.
· Microsoft and/or Linux/UNIX Certification e.g. MCSE, Redhat
· VMWare certification will be highly regarded.
