This role is reporting into the Global head of Non-Global Markets Valuations. The Valuations team is responsible for Independent Price Verification (IPV), Fair Value Adjustments (FVA) and Prudent Valuation Adjustments (PVA) covering businesses under Global Banking and Private Equity investments. The key activities and responsibilities of the role would be:

Run the valuation processes for the calculation of HSBC's products in the non-GM business, with an oversight of - IPV, FVA and Prudent valuation balances; and IPV, FVA and Prudent valuation methodologies and documentation;

Communication is key with the role holder being required to simplify a complex set of businesses and be the primary communication route to these stakeholders.

Support the building and development of strong collaborative relationships between Valuations and all relevant business functions including Core Product Control and the Analytics and Development teams.

Responsible for governance and controls of Valuation policy. Creation of new controls, implementation of new techniques, and the drafting of formal policy/governance documents

Contribute to regulatory and internal work streams such as Libor demise, standalone tool and model rationalisation, audit points, independent model review findings etc.

·
Work to deliver product control objectives on quality, efficiency, adaptability and sustainability through streamlining the processes globally.

Desired profile



Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
·  Demonstrable track record in top-tier global bank alongside a strong academic background.
·  Detailed knowledge of Product Control processes and proven experience of managing Product Control or Financial Process based activities.
·  Extensive market derivative knowledge in all fixed income asset classes: Rates and Flow Credit.
·  Experience of Fixed Income Models and Derivatives Valuation Frameworks.
·  Experience of developing methodology and shaping policy for IPV / FVAs is a distinct advantage.
·  Good understanding of Funding, Liquity and Capital requirements for Global Markets.

The base location for this role is 8 Canada Square, London
