We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Manager, Lending and Capital Management .

Principal Responsibilities

· Business Management (BM) is the team responsible for the management and oversight of the Commercial Banking (CMB) business, covering Corporate and Business Banking as well as the respective product areas
· The BM team is tasked with delivering on the CMB strategy in line with the Group strategy objectives and our goal to be the leading international bank locally and regionally
· Report to the Head of Lending and Capital Management with main responsibility for credit portfolio management / lending strategy related initiatives
· Work with ASP Lending & Transaction Management, Portfolio Management, Credit Risk and Finance teams to drive RWA improvements and optimise pricing for CMB lending products making sure that the customer is at the centre of all propositions
· Support in optimisation of end to end lending process and customer experience
· Support management of overall portfolio performance by closely monitoring returns, low return client management and impairments. Monitor the credit and lending book and a view of the overall portfolio health (tracking against portfolio covenants, etc)
· Anticipate future market conditions in a changing business environment (incl. pricing, risk, regulatory and customer insight), driving product portfolio performance and returns. Support implementation of other CMB lending and credit related strategies.
· Provide technical leadership and support technical excellence by searching out external best practice, monitoring technical and professional developments, sharing knowledge and encouraging others to do the same in the best interests of HSBC and its customers
· Encourage and enable constructive cross-country and cross-business teamwork by demonstrating collaboration and matrix management in action and challenging actions and behaviours that are not consistent with HSBC's diversity policy and/or the best interests of the business and its customers.
· Effective management of related aspects of business risk, and work to mitigate and effectively manage risks within the business
· Apply policies, procedures, practices and standards to their allocated tasks, taking responsibility for their own actions, to ensure the achievement of high levels of quality, effective risk management and regulatory compliance

Qualifications :

Requirements

·  Sound knowledge of core commercial banking products, particularly of HSBC credit policy, procedure and risk appetite.
·  Knowledge of corporate credit through exposure and experience in a corporate lending environment is an advantage.
·  Strong inter-personal, business development and managerial skills, particularly in leading, motivating senior stakeholders, managers across a wide range of strategic indicatives and agendas.
·  Clear ability to delicately handle and resolve inter/intra departmental issues relating to CMB, developed on the job and through attendance on appropriate training programs/attachments.
·  Minimally degree level qualification, with experience in banking in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region
·  Understanding of local and regional regulations, and keen awareness of financial crime risk management Business development skills and track record in identifying and meeting client and business needs in the commercial banking space
·  Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
·  Willing to change and to be proactive to drive change High integrity and professionalism
